2024 Holiday festivities around town
Holiday celebrations filled the calendar this month. Included here are scenes from photographer Gordon Miller who caught reindeer and Santa Finn visiting on Stowe Street, Santa in the Park at Rusty Parker and the Vt. National Guard’s Santa convoy.
One Saturday in Waterbury: Pumpkin chuckin’, puppy cuddles and turkeys galore
One recent Saturday morning was particularly busy in Waterbury as people gathered for some semi-serious pumpkin-chuckin' competition at Dac Rowe Park, some very serious cuddles with a litter of husky sled dog puppies at the Waterbury Public Library, and a festive, bustling turkey and holiday food drive drop-off along South Main Street at the Waterbury Common Market.

The warmest Halloween in memory brought out a larger-than-usual crowd of witches, goblins, ghosts and more of all ages in downtown Waterbury this Halloween.

New menorah adds light to Rusty Parker Park
A small but hardy group of about two dozen gathered after dark on Sunday, Dec. 10, at Rusty Parker Memorial Park to light a new 10-foot-tall menorah in celebration of Chanukah.
