Waterbury ArtsFest 2022 | July 8-9
July 15, 2022
Waterbury ArtsFest had perfect weather for a Friday night dance party July 8 at Pilgrim Park featuring performers Reid Parsons and The Grift.
Tents went up for dozens of vendors for the Saturday arts market. Meanwhile the stage was busy with performers all day including local Celtic and modern dancers from Green Mountain Performing Arts, The Dew rock band and Soulstice, who wrapped up the afternoon.
Amtrak rolled through twice – Friday evening and Saturday morning – without interrupting the festivities.
Many vendors reported strong sales in the new location that allowed attendees to spread out and spend time at the market. MakerSphere art teachers had steady attendance of youngsters for their hands-on art projects and activities including making giant bubbles.
Revitalizing Waterbury Executive Director Karen Nevin in closing promised the festival would return to the same spot in 2023. The annual event is RW’s main fundraiser.
