Let’s lead with love today

Then head in the right direction

Moving toward the people

and places where we feel

safe enough to share

All our pieces, our whole selves

Let’s muster the courage

to reveal it all

Especially the messy and gritty

Like stones pushed

to the meadows surface

Hidden beneath the wildflowers

but then thrust out into the light

Karen Cavender lives in Waterbury Center. She shares her Good Morning poems with family and friends and Waterbury Roundabout.
