Dear Waterbury community members,

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you on the Waterbury Select Board this past year. I have learned a lot from my peers on the board, and from our fantastic municipal staff.

This past year has been a little bit different to say the least, as all of our meetings were through online communication only.

When my term officially started, Covid-19 had just struck, and as a town, we tried to take into account the financial burdens the community might have had to endure. The town tried to relieve some of those costs when looking to collect taxes, review the budget, and to set the upcoming tax rate.

I enjoyed learning throughout the entire year, and getting to hear from a wide range of constituents on matters such as speeding, recreational projects, and racial equality.

I am seeking re-election for a one-year term again to serve the Waterbury community. I am still dedicated to the community here, as I have put down roots by giving my time coaching two sports at Harwood Union High School, joining the Ice Center of Washington West board of directors as a select board liaison, covering sports in the local Waterbury Roundabout newspaper, and working in our district schools.

I enjoy giving my time to listen, and to learn. I welcome the conversations about your concerns or questions, and overall getting to know you individually.

In my first year, I have watched and participated in the process, trying to gain understanding of what opportunities could and would benefit our town. I would like the chance again because I am willing to do the work, and take the time to do it.

Thank you again, for the past year’s opportunity. I have enjoyed my time serving you.
