Donations fuel cafe’s meal program

July 13, 2023 | By Nicole Grenier

To the Community:

Gov. Phil Scott of Vermont said he was very concerned about the next few days. “We will have the sun coming out this afternoon, people will think this is over,” he told reporters. “But it’s not over.”

If anyone near or far can please show some love to Waterbury right now, it'd sure mean a lot. We are collecting donations to help feed people at Stowe Street Cafe and the Waterbury Area Food Shelf through our Pay It Forward Meal Program.

This is literally the fastest way we can personally help people right now as other volunteer efforts are being organized. Donations can be made:

- In person at the cafe

- By Venmo: @stowestreetcafe

Please donate and/or share this on social media and with people you think will want to help. Don't forget to tag us to help people find us.

Neighbors, strangers, and friends all really appreciated a warm hello, a cup of coffee, and a grilled cheese at the cafe. We really want to be able to keep our doors open for them.

We'll get through this.

Again.

Together.
