Scores of friends, family and colleagues of Erika Nichols-Frazer gathered on a snowy evening at the Big Picture Theater in Waitsfield recently to listen to excerpts from her new memoir “Feed Me: A Story of Food, Love, and Mental Illness.”

The Waterbury Public Library’s January programs and events calendar is full with something for everyone including several wellness offerings, multiple events that are part of the Vermont Reads series, as well as meetings of ongoing programs. 

The book is flying off the shelves!  Is it the latest James Patterson mystery? Or Louise Penny’s “A World of Curiosities”?  Well, perhaps there is nothing more curious than a volume of 100 years of etiquette advice being a hot-ticket item in 2022. 

Upcoming programs at the Waterbury Public Library include part two of a special focus on geriatric pets, board games, and some holiday and wintry offerings in December.

Looking to launch a local book reading project with the theme of “One Town One Book,” Bridgeside Books owner Katya d'Angelo and staffer Jenna Danyew’s first inspiration was to contact debut novelist Catherine Drake, author of “The Treehouse on Dog River Road.” 

On a recent stop in Waterbury, Vermont activist and prolific author Bill McKibben asked, “What went sour with American patriotism, American faith, and American prosperity?” 

The Waterbury Public Library in October was proud to host three events focusing on “Understanding Our Difference/Our Sameness through Stories.”
