Vermont gardening guru Charlie Nardozzi is due for his annual visit to the Stowe Free Library.

The master gardener will visit on Feb. 11 to give a talk looking ahead to the 2025 season with a focus on all things related to pruning.

Pruning shrubs and trees can be a tricky task for many gardeners -- how, when, etc. Master Gardner Nardozzi in this presentation will cover the science and art of pruning with examples on how to prune fruit trees, ornamental shrubs, and older trees. He’ll discuss pruning tools and of course, answer questions.

The Friends of the Stowe Free Library welcome all from the surrounding community to attend this free event that starts at 7 p.m. Given the timing close to Valentine’s Day, the group will serve chocolates, too.

Stowe Free Library is located at 90 Pond St. in Stowe. Park in front or back, but enter the building using the rear door as the library closes for daily visitors at 7 p.m.

More information is online at stowevt.gov/Departments/Library, or call 802-253-6145 or email stowefreelibrary@gmail.com.
