With the exception of July 4, shows will be Thursdays-Saturdays 7:30 p.m.; Sunday performances will be at 4 p.m.

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” the play “Monty Python’s SPAMALOT” retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Along the way, it features a bevy of beautiful show girls as well as cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story delights audiences in its search for the Holy Grail and quest to “always look on the bright side of life.”

The Valley Players cast of 15 is led by Karl Klein (from Fayston) as King Arthur, Hilary Delisle (of Hinesburg) as the Lady of the Lake, Lonny Edwards (from  Lincoln) as Sir Galahad, Jon Sanborn (of Barre) as Sir Lancelot, and Ashley Hall (of Warren) as Patsy, King Arthur’s underappreciated servant and “horse.”

Other cast members include Susan Loynd (of Fayston) as Sir Bedevere, Aaron Robinson (of Barre) as Sir Robin, Jordan Streeter (from Moretown) as Sir Bors, Joe Robinson (of Warren) as Sir Not Appearing, Clem Turmel (from Milton) as the Historian and Prince Herbert, Marie Schmukal (of Warren) as the Minstrel, and Holly Biracree (of Essex), Sarah DeBouter (of Berlin), Cassandra Demarais (from Websterville), Madison Yasner (of Essex), and Marie Schmukal as the Laker Girls.

The production is directed by Shannon Sanborn (of Barre), with music direction by Daniel Bruce (from East Montpelier) and Michael Halloran (also of Barre). Choreography is by Taryn Noelle (from Craftsbury) and Marci Robinson of Warren is stage manager. Lighting design is by Irene Halibozek of South Burlington; the set was designed by Shannon Sanborn.

The show runs 2 hours and 30 minutes, including intermission, and contains adult humor and language. Tickets ($25, general admission; $20 seniors and under 12) are available in advance at valleyplayers.com. The theater is located at 4254 Main Street (Rt. 100) in Waitsfield, Vermont.
