Harwood Baseball, Boys LAX in semi-finals this week
June 10, 2024 | By Waterbury Roundabout Spring high school athletic playoffs are coming down the wire with two Harwood teams still in their Division II tournaments this week.
Harwood Baseball (11-7) travels to Mt. Abe (13-6) today for the semi-final game at 4:30 p.m. Harwood is No. 7 seed and Mt. Abe is No. 6. The winner will play the victor in Tuesday's other semi-final round between No. 8 Middlebury Union and No. 4 Hartford.
The action happens at home on Tuesday when No. 2 Harwood Boys Lacrosse (12-2) hosts No. 3 Stowe (11-5) for the semi-final match at 4:30 p.m. The winner will go on to the final to play either No. 1 Hartford or No. 5 Milton; that semi-final game is also on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Ninth-ranked Girls Lacrosse finished their season last week, falling to No. 1 Hartford in the quarterfinal 11-2.
