Another fall season in the books
Oct. 30, 2021It was blue skies for last Saturday's youth soccer jamboree at Hope Davey Park for players in the kindergarten and 1st/2nd grade divisions.
Waterbury Youth Soccer teams hosted players from Mad River and Montpelier for the annual finale.
The league this Saturday finishes out the 2021 season with the 28th annual Gary Griffith Jamboree for players in grades 3 through 6 with visiting teams from Mad River and Montpelier rec soccer leagues participating as well.
The Waterbury league had nearly 250 local youngsters take part this fall on 18 teams. Organizers said they are particularly grateful to the more than 30 adult volunteers who helped coach and keep things running smoothly.
