Harwood Union boys and girls varsity soccer teams created a banner this month in response to incidents of racial and sexual harassment reported at high school athletic events across Vermont. High school fall sports playoffs are well underway with Harwood Union teams competing in multiple contests this weekend and next week. Here’s the schedule for the next round. Any schedule changes due to weather will be noted on the Harwood Tandem calendar. 

SATURDAY 

Cross Country: The state championship meet gets underway at 9:30 a.m. at Thetford Academy. 

Boys Soccer: No. 2-ranked Harwood (13-1-1) hosts No. 7 Green Mountain Valley School (5-3-2) at 11 a.m. in the Division II quarterfinals. 

Girls Soccer: Top-ranked Harwood Highlanders (13-1-1) take on No. 8 Middlebury Union (8-6-1) at home at 2 p.m. in the Division II quarterfinal round.

TUESDAY

Field Hockey: No. 6 Harwood (3-8-1) travels to take on No. 2 Lyndon Institute (7-5) at Lyndon on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 3:30 p.m.
