Rotary hosts Santa in the Park

For the first time since 2019, the Waterbury Rotary Club hosted an in-person, out-of-your-cars visit with Santa at Rusty Parker Memorial Park last weekend. More than 120 youngsters and their family members turned out for a chance to climb up into a sleigh to chat with Santa, take some photos, and get a little gift.

Members of Harwood Union High School’s Interact Club donned festive costumes for their roles as Santa’s elves, ushering the crowd through the queue. From the sizes of some of the participants, it was clearly the first time they had the experience, too.

Gordon Miller captured the memories in the making.
