Hello Waterbury community,

As a member of our community wishing to serve on the Waterbury Select Board, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I was raised in this town, along with my husband Tom and our parents who still reside here. Our home is in the village where we live with our rescue dog Chevy.  He is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, so clearly not from here but acclimating.

I have witnessed and experienced many changes within Waterbury, staying engaged and adding my voice to the progress and processes. In my professional life, I’m a procurement analyst with ample experience with contracts and policy.  I’ve learned the first rule in effective decision-making is defining the problem, market research for alternatives and viable solutions, while always being a good steward of limited resources. I believe this would be a beneficial addition to the select board.

As a homeowner, I am fully aware of the benefits and the concerns with affordability and increasing costs in general. I feel now is the right time for me to do more and help develop solutions that work for our community. I can do this by being your voice as a team member on the select board. I’m a firm believer in open communication and transparency throughout the process and the need for active engagement with the community. If elected, I intend to work with the town manager, employees and fellow select board members to realize your priorities.

I would welcome the opportunity to work with community leaders to ensure we establish clear priorities and sound resourcing strategies. In this manner, we’d pursue future plans for Waterbury and Waterbury Center that are lasting and beneficial. I am not afraid to ask the tough questions nor engage in positive and creative discussions to get to the “how” and not just the “why.” Finding solutions also requires we understand the potential for unintended consequences while always being good stewards of the people’s resources.

I am committed to this town and our community. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. I do welcome your vote on Town Meeting Day and would be honored to be your voice on the select board.
