Re: Duxbury's Special Town Meeting Nov. 16

Nov. 10, 2022

To the Duxbury Community:

I am encouraging all to ask questions. I have gotten a few and have replied. I want to share those answers.

Yes, there will be FREE child care at the school for those who want to attend. Bring the littles in as early as 6:45 p.m. Harwood students will be there with an adult for supervision.

Yes, you have to be there to vote.

Yes, you have to be a registered voter.

Now the bigger answer: We can choose or not choose any of the 3 choices for future Town Meetings. A Yes vote to all of them means we no longer do anything in person. A No vote to all of them meand nothing changes. A mixed vote will look however we vote it to be.

There has been a bit of communication about this meeting the most important thing is YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO VOTE. And, your vote will be counted.

Meeting time is 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Crossett Brook Middle School.
