Tell me you’ll try

To use this one walk on earth

to make it a better place

Step surely out into this day

For all actions are in our hands

all outcomes in our hearts

We may believe we are starved

for what we are not getting

When we are actually hungry

for what we’re not giving

Hold fast to future dreams

Transformed as today’s truths

Karen Cavender lives in Waterbury Center. She shares her Good Morning poems with family and friends. We’re happy when she sends one our way.
