What do tattoo shops and food shelves have in common? Awesome people!

Corey Barrett of Good Ink Tattoo held his first annual Waterbury Area Trail Running Camp last weekend. Folks of all levels showed up to explore local trails, create friendships, and support the Waterbury Area Food Shelf.

The camp was by donation this year, as Corey wanted to allow the weekend to give back to the town that we’re so lucky to live and play in. The result? Participants raised $700 for the food shelf!

Those funds were enough to cover our monthly order from the Vermont Foodbank which was over 500 pounds of food. So it shows how a small group of people can make a huge difference!

Thanks to all who attended and donated. It goes a very long way and will help us ensure that our friends and neighbors have access to healthy and delicious foods!
