Dear readers,

As the year winds down, we want to thank everyone who read, wrote, commented, shared our posts, sent in tips and photos, and made Waterbury Roundabout a part of your routine this year. We are thrilled that so may have come to rely on our local news coverage.

Our This Week in Waterbury weekly newsletter has nearly 2,000 subscribers. Our Facebook page has more than 3,000 followers. (If you don’t get it yet, sign up on our homepage.) We see many visits to our website each day. We’re especially grateful to the 350 readers who have chipped in with financial support - either single donations or monthly contributions. We hope to see that number grow as we move into 2023 so we can continue bringing you local news each week.

We want to remind readers that there's still time to make a year-end donation that could be deductible at tax time next year. All online contributions go through our fiscal sponsor, the Vermont Journalism Trust, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit. (Parent to VTDigger). The same goes for contributions sent in via check written to Vermont Journalism Trust. (Just put "For Waterbury Roundabout" in the memo and mail to P.O. Box 626, Waterbury, VT 05676.)

In January we will send letters to all 2022 donors for your tax records.

Looking ahead, here's how you can support Waterbury Roundabout in the new year:

  • If you've donated once or on occasion, please consider signing up to chip in regularly in 2023.

  • If you’re already a monthly subscriber, forward this post to a friend or family member who you know enjoys keeping up with local headlines on WaterburyRoundabout.org and ask them to join you.

  • If you’re a reader and haven’t gotten around to chipping in yet, now is a great time to sign up. A few $ a month to support community journalism will go a long way toward keeping all of us informed and connected.

  • And if you have a business or organization, contact us to advertise online or in the This Week in Waterbury email newsletter. Email info@waterburyroundabout.org.

We want to keep reporting on Waterbury, Duxbury, Harwood schools and more in 2023, but we can't do it without your support.

Thank you for reading and contributing! And Happy New Year!
