Waterbury Ambulance Service is proud to announce the launch of our 2024/2025 Subscription Program, reaffirming our commitment to providing exceptional prehospital emergency care to the communities of Waterbury, Duxbury, and part of Moretown.

Our mission is simple yet vital: delivering reliable emergency medical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our dedicated team, comprising more than 30 certified volunteers along with paid Paramedics and Advanced EMTs, operates a fleet of two ambulances to ensure prompt and efficient care.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support from our community. Your contributions through volunteer work, annual household subscriptions, donations, and your ongoing support for the Station Creation Project enable us to continue offering award-winning services, operations, and backcountry rescue efforts. A significant portion of our budget is funded by subscriptions and donations from the residents we serve. Thank you for making our essential work possible; we greatly appreciate it.
We invite you to support us through a $60 subscription for the 2024/2025 period. This subscription is mutually beneficial: it helps control your healthcare costs while supporting our mission. For a small annual fee, anyone in your household who is transported by Waterbury Ambulance Service will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses. We will bill your insurance, and your subscription covers any costs you would have been responsible for, such as deductibles.
Subscriptions cover households from June 2024 to May 2025, providing transport to the nearest appropriate medical facility for all subscribed household members. We will handle the billing and collection of benefits available from your medical insurance on your behalf, ensuring that you will not be billed for any portion of our fees (deductibles/copayments) not covered by your insurance. Please note, the Subscription Program does not apply to Medicaid or uninsured residents.

What’s the latest with the new station plans? Just last week we completed the purchase of the property on Demeritt Place near South Main Street. We are planning a groundbreaking event at 6:30 p.m. on June 6 to get started. We have $1.4 million left to fundraise to cover our expected construction costs and we hope to move in next summer.
