VTrans shares winter driving info sources

November 9, 2023 | News release

With snow falling across much of the state this morning, the Vermont Agency of Transportation issued this bulletin as of 6 a.m. Bookmark the links at the bottom to find the latest information on road conditions this winter.

VTrans Morning Road Conditions Report

Statewide: Roadway users should expect a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain as colder temps and a widescale weather system works its way through our area. Icy conditions are the biggest cause of concern especially on bridges and in low lying areas. Precipitation is forecast to continue until late afternoon in most areas. Strong wind gusts of up to 35mph may drop tree limbs and other debris into the roadway. Drivers should be on the lookout for rapidly changing conditions.

VTrans crews are currently out performing routine maintenance activities and will be clearing and treating roadways as needed. If you happen to encounter maintenance vehicles give them room to work, and don’t crowd the plow!  Drive safely.
