Local residents among 180 recent appointees to state boards

From May through September, Gov. Phil Scott has appointed 180 Vermonters to state boards and commissions, inducing several local residents. 

Boards and commissions play an important role in state government and give Vermonters an opportunity to serve their state and communities.

Local appointees were: 

  • Emma Harrington of Waterbury to the Governor's Veterans Advisory Council

  • Richard Katzman of Waterbury to the Victims Compensation Board

  • Gunner McCain of Waterbury to the Technical Advisory Committee on Wastewater Systems & Potable Water

  • John Spinney of Waterbury to the Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities 

  • Robert Bauman of Stowe to the State Board of Optometry
