Main Street Construction | June 4-12
Construction activities are ongoing in all project segments along Main Street and side roads; flaggers and pedestrian crossers are present throughout. Expect delays and one-way alternating traffic.
Between Dac Rowe Park and Stowe Street: Travel lanes have shifted. Flaggers will assist drivers and pedestrians during the sewer replacement work. Even-numbered properties will lose driveway access during excavation. Driveway access will be restored at the end of each day. Daytime parking is available at the municipal building parking lot. Residents and businesses are advised to have bottled water on hand in case it is needed while work is ongoing in this area.
Between Stowe Street and Park Street: Road cut excavation will continue on the odd-numbered side of South Main Street to the fire station, disrupting driveway access. There will be one-lane alternating traffic; flaggers will assist vehicles. Affected residents, businesses should use parking along Park Row and at the train station. Driveways will be restored at the end of each day.
Between Park Row and the end of the project: Concrete sidewalks will be completed along the even-numbered side of South Main Street. Starting June 8, granite curbing will be installed along the odd-numbered side from Warren Court to the end of the project; curbing installation may cause temporary driveway access delays.
