Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman plans to attend along with gubernatorial candidate Esther Charlestin, and Washington Sens. Anne Watson, and Andrew Perchlik, who are running for re-election. All four candidates are running on both the Progressive and Democratic tickets.

The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Old Labor Hall at 46 Granite Street. Each candidate will make brief remarks followed by a question-and-answer session. In addition to the conversation, light refreshments will be served.

“We aim to foster a rich discussion about Vermont’s most pressing issues and the ways in which public officials can best support working Vermonters,” organizers say in their announcements.

Following the event, candidates and their teams will spend some time going door-to-door to meet voters. Interested attendees are invited to join the canvassing effort.

“I believe it’s essential for public officials to connect with their constituents,” Zuckerman said.

“One of the best ways to serve the people of Vermont is to listen to their stories and learn about

the changes they want to see in our state. Then we can take that knowledge to Montpelier to

create necessary and effective change.”

The public is invited and the event is free.
