Main Street Construction Update | Oct. 31 to Nov. 6

Overall impacts

  • Paving: Expect delays the week of Nov. 2 due to paving throughout the project along Main Street, side streets and gravel sidewalks. This is due to a weather delay from last week.

  • Driveway, sidewalk, and walkway cleanup continues.

  • Flaggers and pedestrian crossers will be present in the construction areas.

  • Special Note: The Edward Farrar Utility District, the utility district for the village, has contracted with J.A. McDonald to replace a water line on lower Stowe Street between Main Street and Bidwell Lane. This is not part of the VTrans Main Street project.

Between Stowe Street and Park Street

  • Concrete sidewalk installation is planned between Waterbury Sports and Foundry Street and at the Main Street-Park Row intersection.

  • New street lighting will continue to be installed.
