A Harwood Union High School class focusing on issues of racial justice invites the community to an online discussion this Thursday, April 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is hosted by the “Dialogues on Race”  class led by Harwood history teacher Kathy Cadwell.

An Online Community Dialogue on Race will pose an overall open-ended question with the goal of gathering ideas from the broad community: “What should students, teachers, and community members do to acknowledge and confront individual and systemic racism in our schools and community?”

Students have planned the event and will facilitate it by breaking participants into smaller groups. Registration using an online form is required in order to get the Zoom video conference link. Students in the school district are invited to participate along with parents as well as individuals who don’t have children in the school system presently.
