An open house at Knapp State Airport in Berlin on Tuesday evening aims to introduce young people to the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.

The Capital Composite Squadron invites the public to visit the Edward Knapp Airport passenger terminal any time between 6:30 and 8 p.m.

The cadet program provides youth, ages 12-21, with opportunities to learn about aerospace, emergency services, and leadership while building a network of friends and self-confidence.

The event will have flight simulators on site for attendees to try out, a drone obstacle course, and refreshments. Members will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences with interested cadet candidates and their parents. Knapp State Airport is located at 1979 Airport Road in Berlin.
