Announcements from the Duxbury Town Office

September 13, 2024 | By Waterbury Roundabout

Duxbury Town Clerk and Treasurer Maureen Harvey shares several announcements with town residents:

  • The Duxbury Town Office will be closed for the week of Sept. 16-20. It will be back open on Sept. 21.

  • Tax bills have been sent out with payments due on Friday, Oct. 11. Anyone who has not received a bill should contact the town office. Bills were sent to owners as of April 1. If properties have changed ownership, the tax bill is the responsibility of the current owner. Those making payments through an escrow arrangement should make sure that the payment is made. Payments may be made by mail, in person, or dropped in the lock box outside the town office door. Call 802-244-6660 or email Dux.TownClerk@gmail.com with questions.

  • The Nov.  5 General Election is fast approaching. All Duxbury voters registered as of Sept. 3 will receive a ballot by mail from the Secretary of State. Ballots may be returned by mail, in the town office lock box outside the entry, or at the polls on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Those who do not use the ballot they receive by mail may vote in person on Nov. 5 and would need to sign an Affidavit of No Ballot Cast to receive a new ballot. “They are exactly the same ballot,” Harvey said.
