Waterbury Ambulance Service’s Berlin clinic has been closed today due to the weather. It also is closed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 24-25, for the Christmas holiday.

The scheduled clinic in Waitsfield at the United Church of Christ today remains open until 2 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

The ambulance service continues to run a busy schedule of COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinics in the region, although no longer at its station in Waterbury Center. Its main clinic is located at 58 East View Lane near the Knapp State Airport in Berlin with pop-up dates regularly scheduled at the University of Vermont and the United Church of Christ in Waitsfield.

COVID-19 vaccines are available for those age 6 months and up. Individuals may receive their first series vaccines or boosters. Also available are flu shots for up to age 64. Those age 65 and older should see their health care provider.

COVID-19 and flu vaccines are also available at pharmacies (check with locations for appointments) and through healthcare provider offices as supplies allow.

According to the Vermont Department of Health website, walk-in clinics will soon transition to more limited hours and close by Jan. 31.  Vermonters will still be able to get vaccines through pharmacies and health care providers.
