Kenneth Albert Martin Sr. 1933-2024

Kenneth A. Martin Sr, 91, passed away at his home in Waterbury on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Born in Burlington, on July 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Dorothy (Stowell) Martin. On February 28, 1970, he married Pauline Larrabee. Pauline passed away on December 29, 2019.

Ken grew up in Burlington and attended schools there. On August 15th, 1950, at 17, he joined the U.S. Army. He was employed for many years at the Mount Mansfield Corporation of Stowe. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.

Ken is loved and mourned by his children, Kenneth Martin Jr., Kevin Martin, Joanne Martin, Brian Larrabee, and Jerry Larrabee; his brother Paul Martin and sister Pauline Conroy; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by brothers Arthur Martin Jr., Richard Martin, and Bernard Martin, and sisters Katherine Robare and Barbara Seymour.

A celebration of the life of Kenneth Albert Martin Sr. and a potluck reception will be held at the Harry N. Cutting American Legion, 16 Stowe St. in Waterbury, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Duxbury.
