The Harry N. Cutting American Legion Post No. 59 and its Auxiliary Unit 59 hosted a family dinner to honor the American Legion Auxiliary National President Kathy Daudistel on Sept. 20.

Daudistel traveled from her home state of Kentucky to visit various posts in Vermont which has 42 Auxiliary units.

National leaders take on charity projects to support the objectives of the American Legion which fall into the categories of Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security, and Veteran Support. Daudistel’s project focuses on Caregivers and members in attendance at the Waterbury dinner contributed donations to support this cause. Auxiliary Department President Francisca Massey, Department Executive Committeewoman Corrinna Colson and Post No. 59 Squadron Commander Clement Topo Despault also took part.
