Registration is now open for Waterbury Youth Soccer’s 2021 fall soccer season with fees increasing after Aug. 22.

The program is geared for players from kindergarten through sixth grade. Registration is $40 per child for the kindergarten program; $50 per child for 1st-2nd graders; $55 per child for 3rd-6th graders. Fees will increase by $10 after Aug. 22.

Kindergarten and 1st-2nd grade leagues start Saturday, Sept. 11 and run for six weeks with a final jamboree on Oct. 23. Grades 3 through 6 also begin play on Sept. 11 but run for seven weeks, ending with the Gary Griffith Invitational Tournament on Oct. 30.

Waterbury Youth Soccer is a volunteer-run organization and it’s looking for the next generation of volunteers as many of long-term parent participants have players who have outgrown the program. During the registration process, parents may sign up for volunteer opportunities including coaching and assisting with league activities.

The league also thanks parents Sarah Squirrell and Chris Piatek who volunteered with the program for more than eight years. It now welcomes Kirsten Kollgaard as a new co-coordinator.

Register and find more information online at waterburysoccer.com. Contact Waterbury Youth Soccer Co-Coordinators Marni Martens and Kristen Kollgaard with questions at marni.martens@gmail.com and kirsten4284@yahoo.com.
