Waterbury Center will be hopping on Saturday with two community celebrations scheduled at the Waterbury Center Community Church and at Hope Davey Park.

The church plans a daylong festival, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the church grounds next-door to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill on Vermont Route 100. It will include live music, vendors, an antique sale, silent auction, food, children activities and a non-perishable food collection for the Waterbury Area Food Shelf.

Not far away on Maple Street, the newly formed Friends of Hope Davey Park plan a midday picnic with a barbeque starting at noon and live music from 1-3 p.m. by SteelRail Bluegrass. Miniature ponies will be on hand for rides for those 65 pounds and smaller and available for pets and pictures with everyone.
