Fall blood drives in, near Waterbury
Sept. 24, 2022 | By Waterbury Roundabout
The American Red Cross has a new slate of thank you gifts lined up for fall blood and platelet donors.
The sponsor Sport Clips Haircuts has teamed up with the Red Cross to offer everyone who donates by the end of September a chance to win a NASCAR racing experience, including two tickets to a 2023 Sport Clips-sponsored race of the winner’s choice with round-trip airfare for two, up to three nights in a hotel and a $750 gift card.
In addition, donors through the end of September will receive a coupon for a free haircut by email courtesy of Sport Clips. Those donating in October will receive a $5 gift card to a merchant of choice.
Donations this time of year help keep the blood supply full across the region ahead of the busy holiday season when donations typically fall off. Donors are asked to schedule an appointment for a time slot at an upcoming blood drive by using the Red Cross Donor app, the RedCrossBlood.org website, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
