RICHMOND–—The annual Cochran’s Ski and Ride Sale is back indoors this year on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6, at Camels Hump Middle School in Richmond.

The sale will be open on Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For those with items to sell, consignment is happening online in advance at CochranSkiSale.com – now through Wednesday, Nov. 2, at midnight.

Pre-consigned gear drop-off will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4; pick-up is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. for checks and unsold items.

There will be no on-site consignment on Friday evening, so the public is asked to plan ahead and consign online.

As always, the sale will include gently used consigned goods as well as new gear from Cochran’s vendors. Shoppers can expect to find a wide variety of winter gear at low prices, including equipment, clothing, and accessories for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding along with a variety of branded gear donated to Cochran’s Ski Club by the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team.

“We believe everyone should have access to affordable gear for an active winter. We are thrilled to be back at Camels Hump Middle School again this year for a warmer shopping experience for all,” said ski club President Karl Goetze, referring to recent sales during the COVID-19 pandemic held outdoors.  “Proceeds from this volunteer-led event fund our club and enable us to keep ski racing accessible to families around our region.”

The annual sale is not only an opportunity to pick up bargain gear, but the volunteers staffing it can offer good advice whether you are just starting out or a serious competitor. “During the sale, our volunteers will be available to help answer questions about individual items and advise shoppers on the right gear for every level of skier or rider,” Goetze said.

Details, including consignment sign-up, are online at CochranSkiSale.com.

Cochran’s Ski Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Vermont families with a supportive community dedicated to the affordable pursuit of alpine ski racing and a lifelong love of skiing. More online at cochranskiarea.com/cochrans-ski-club/.
