Mad River Valley Soccer Association will hold its skills assessments on Sunday at Mad River Park for U10 and U12 youth players interested in spring travel soccer.

This is a rescheduled date to allow local families to attend the Harwood Union High School girls and boys soccer championship games in Hartford on Saturday.

Organizers of the recreation league ask that interested players attend the skill assessment which will be a key tool for building boys and girls team rosters across different divisions. Registration for spring soccer will open in January.

Sunday’s assessments will be held 9:30-11 a.m. at Mad River Park on Airport Road in Waitsfield. Parents are asked to please complete this online form in advance.

U10 players would have birthdays in 2014-2015; U12 players would have birthdays in 2012-2013.

Families with a player interested in spring soccer but who cannot attend the assessment day are asked to please send an email to registrar.mrvsa@gmail.com.

In addition to the U10 and U12 teams, Mad River Soccer will offer spring travel for U14 and U16 boys and girls teams. U14 players are those with birthdays in 2010-2011; U16 players would have birthdays 2008-2009. Assessments for these age groups are not necessary.
