LETTER: Vote Alyssa Johnson for Select Board

To the community: 

I'm excited to support Alyssa Johnson for Waterbury Select Board, and I encourage everyone to vote for her on March 1. 

Alyssa Johnson is exactly the type of person we need as a local leader (and national, for that matter). She is enthusiastic, passionate, articulate, level-headed, and has really committed herself to our community both professionally and in her volunteer roles, including serving as the chair of our Planning Commission.

As Waterbury's former Economic Development Director, and from her current community project work at the Vermont Council on Rural Development and her personal experience rooting herself here over the past several years, she has a vital understanding of how to responsibly develop and sustain our community. 

Alyssa brings specific knowledge about the intertwined nature of zoning, housing, jobs, small businesses, and affordability, and as a business owner and resident, I am excited to have her input to help shape the town’s future.
