Main Street / Blush Hill Update July 23-30

BLUSH HILL

Pavement milling has been done in preparation for paving of Blush Hill Road in several weeks. Highway Department crews will complete maintenance of roadside ditches.Two culverts have been replaced. 

When weather allows, paving first will be done on Lonesome Trail Road off of Blush Hill Road. That work has been delayed by rainy conditions this past week. 

  

MAIN STREET 

OVERALL IMPACTS

  • Flaggers and pedestrian crossers will be present where construction is taking place. 

  • Expect construction activities along the length of the project to clean up and prep for paving now anticipated the first week of August, weather permitting. There’s been a week’s delay due to recent rainy weather.

  • Punch list items such as laying down topsoil, seeding and mulching, are taking place throughout the project.

Segment 1: North Main Street between Dac Rowe Park and Stowe Street 

  • Structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in early August.

  • Work on newly installed lampposts continues.

Segment 2: Between Stowe Street and Park Row

  • Structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in early August.

  • Work will continue to grade, add topsoil, seed and mulch along sidewalks and driveways where needed.

  • Work on newly installed lampposts continues.

 Segments 3 and 4: Park Row to the end of the project  

  • Drainage structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in early August. 

  • Work will continue to grade, add topsoil, seed and mulch to areas by sidewalks and driveways where needed.
