Road Work | Nov. 14-18

Here is a list of road and related construction projects in Waterbury and the nearby area that may affect travels this week. 

Waterbury | Vermont 100 

Waterbury Public Works Director Bill Woodruff says that – weather permitting – paving will take place in the Colbyville stretch of Vermont Route 100 near the intersection with Laurel Road on Monday, Nov. 14. This is to pave the area affected by the recent sewer line installation. Traffic will be limited to alternating single lanes and motorists can expect delays.

 

Waterbury | Blush Hill Road

Construction is winding down near the end of Blush Hill Road on a new parking lot just above the boat launch to accommodate parking of vehicles with trailers. The boat launch is open but there still are construction vehicles, equipment, etc. active in that area. The project is expected to wrap up this week. Flaggers will be on site as needed and roadside parking will be limited on weekdays until work is completed. Work is taking place weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Boaters are encouraged to use the Waterbury Dam boat launch during this period.

   

Bolton-Richmond | U. S. 2

The rehabilitation project continues along U.S. 2 in Bolton and Richmond. Motorists will encounter areas of one-way alternating traffic Monday through Friday during the day within the work areas. Paving is underway on the second layer of on the eastern end of the project in Bolton proceeding westerly. Drainage upgrade work has continued between Snipe Ireland Road and Cochran Road. This week, Monday through Friday daytime with weather permitting, paving will continue westerly between approximately Boys Club Road to Snipe Ireland Road. Crews also will continue installing shoulder material and driveway/side road tie-ins.

Buel’s Gore | Vermont 17

Vermont Route 17 will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 16, just west of the border with Fayston from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a culvert replacement.
