Main Street Construction | Dec. 12-18

December 12, 2020 | By Waterbury Roundabout

Here is a rundown of work remaining for this week and two important reminders.

·    Work on the new streetlights will be taking place all week from Dac Rowe Park to Park Row.

·    The new mast arms and traffic signal at the Stowe Street-Main Street intersection will take place early this week pending weather conditions.

·    Expect a one-lane alternating traffic pattern beginning Monday while the lights and signals are being worked on.

·    Flaggers will be present where activities are taking place.

This schedule is contingent on weather, equipment, supplies, and a variety of circumstances.

SURVEY: Local residents are reminded to completed the 2020 End of Construction Season Survey online. Your input will be very helpful for the next construction season. The deadline for responses is Monday, Dec. 21. Click here to take the survey.

DO NOT SALT: The new concrete sidewalks and walkways should not be salted when there is ice and snow. Salt damages concrete over time by causing corrosion to occur under the surface, leading to discolored, cracked and crumbling concrete. Alternatives are sand or kitty litter.
