Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of two vehicles from a property management company in Waterbury on Saturday.

Sgt. William Warner at the Berlin barracks said state police received a report shortly after 8:30 on Sunday morning about a vehicle theft from Stromme Properties on Railroad Street, a property management company.

“During the investigation, it was learned another vehicle had been taken from the same site,” Warner noted in his press release.

In an email to Waterbury Roundabout, Warner said that the vehicles were a Ford F-250 pickup and a Hyundai Sonata. “They were found by employees of the company within approximately 1.5 miles of their facility,” Warner said.

The pickup was found in a ditch on Blush Hill Road at the intersection with Countryside Drive, Warner said. The other vehicle was discovered missing and also found by company staff; they located it under the Interstate 89 overpass on Stowe Street, he said. Both thefts took place during the afternoon or evening hours on Saturday, March 29, and both vehicles sustained minor damage, Warner noted.

The investigation into the thefts is active and anyone with information that might assist investigators is asked to contact the state police Berlin barracks at 802-229-9191, or submit an anonymous tip online at vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
