State Police investigate motorcycle theft in Waterbury

Vermont State Police are seeking help from the public in tracking down a motorcycle stolen from a home in Waterbury last week.

Trooper Mae Murdock in a news release said police on April 17, around 9:45 a.m. received a report that a 1974 Honda Passport motorcycle was stolen from a home at 11 North Main Street in Waterbury.
The ensuing investigation found that the yellow and white motorcycle with a black seat was taken around noon on Tuesday, April 15. “Witnesses to the theft advised a young male in a green sweatshirt drove away on the motorcycle,” Murdock wrote in the release.
The motorcycle is missing a mirror on one of the stalks, has a chipped splash guard, Solex 50 stickers on the side, and a custom-welded affixed trunk box. The owner shared a photo with police, pictured here.
