Vermont State Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident involving vehicles at the State Office Complex in Waterbury.
On Saturday morning, March 15, at approximately 8:15 a.m., state police received a report of a vehicle that left the scene of an accident that took place in a parking lot along State Drive at the state offices in downtown Waterbury.
According to a report from Detective Trooper Matthew Conte, the investigation found that a parked Ford Explorer with Vermont registration plates had been hit at an unknown date and time. The incident caused “significant damage” to the parked vehicle and the driver of the car that hit the Explorer left without reporting the incident as required by law, Conte said.

Further investigation turned up security camera images of the vehicle involved, police said. Based on the photographs and evidence collected at the scene, investigators believe they are seeking a red or maroon Honda Accord model year 2008 to 2012 that caused the damage.
