WATERBURY ROAD CLOSURES / DELAYS

FRIDAY, July 19, & MONDAY, July 22: Perry Hill & Kneeland Flats roads

Emergency road work will be done on Perry Hill Road between Tyler Ridge and Keefe Lane on Friday. Work is scheduled to take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will be reduced to one travel lane. Expect delays. Drivers should seek alternate routes.

Additional work on Perry Hill Road is expected on Monday near Kneeland Flats Road.

A separate water line installation project at the Kneeland Flats Mobile Home Park is also underway and will impact traffic on Kneeland Flats Road with just a single lane open at the intersection with the neighborhood early in the week.

MONDAY and TUESDAY, July 22-23: Stowe Street

A section of Stowe Street will be CLOSED along Tannery Flats -- between Brookside Primary School and East Street for a road stabilization project. No through traffic will be allowed between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers will need to seek alternate routes.

MONDAY and TUESDAY, July 22-23: Little River Road

Contractors will begin an extensive right-of-way clearing project on Little River Road beginning at 377 Little River Road and continuing up the road for approximately three-quarters of a mile. This work will involve the removal of numerous trees and will result in lengthy traffic delays. The Public Works Department asks that the public limit trips in and out of the work zone during these days.

Also in Waterbury:

  • Gregg Hill Road remains closed at the southern entrance with Vermont Route 100. All traffic should use the northern entrance near the Waterbury-Stowe town line until further notice.

  • Shaw Mansion Road is closed to through traffic in the middle section known as “the dip.” Motorists can access either end of the road from Loomis Hill Road and Kneeland Flats Road.

DUXBURY ROAD CLOSURES

  • Vermont Route 100 remains closed south of Harwood Union High School before the intersection with Ward Hill Road due to a bridge collapse. A crew is working to repair that section. Vermont Route 100B in Moretown is open and is an alternate access to points south on Route 100.

  • Camels Hump Road above the intersection with Scrabble Hill Road is limited to residential traffic only. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution.

  • Stevens Brook Road is open but not passable through to Moretown due to a culvert washout. That repair is scheduled for next week.
