Town officials were on alert and warily eyeing the Winooski River water level forecast Wednesday into Thursday as steady rain continued for a second day to combine with snowmelt filling streams. By 8 a.m. Thursday, the Winooski hit 419 feet on the stream gauge and then began to recede.

That was after a substantial amount of water and mud spread across Dac Rowe Park and the nearby cornfield behind the State Office Complex. Waterbury Roundabout photographer Gordon Miller shares some scenes on the ground while photographer Dana Allen captured the view with his drone.
