Main St. Construction | Dec. 4

The second year of Main Street road construction has wrapped up for the season. Some electrical work remains to be completed over the next few weeks but project officials say that should be minimally disruptive.

New street lamps installed between Stowe Street and Park Row were turned on this week. More street lamps will be installed this month with the remainder in 2021. The poles vary in appearance based on their secondary function: having flag pole holders, banner arms or brackets for summer flower baskets.

In her final weekly update, project spokeswoman Barb Farr asks local residents, workers and business owners to participate in a survey to offer feedback about the 2020 work on the project. The short online survey can be found here. The deadline for responses is Monday, Dec. 21.

More information about the project which is scheduled to end next summer can be found online at waterburyworks.com
