Main Street Construction Update Nov. 7-13

Overall impacts

  • Paving: Expect delays this week due to paving throughout the project along Main Street, side streets and gravel sidewalks. 

  • Flaggers and pedestrian crossers will be present in the construction areas. 

Between Dac Rowe Park and Stowe Street

  • Paving Main Street: Expect one-way alternating traffic and delays.

  • Gravel sidewalks and driveways will receive temporary asphalt for the winter.

  • Driveway, sidewalk, and walkway cleanup continues.

  • Stowe Street: Soil samples will be taken near where fuel tanks were removed.  

Between Stowe Street and Park Street

  • Paving: Expect one-way alternating traffic and delays.

  • Gravel sidewalks and driveways will receive temporary asphalt for the winter.

  • Concrete sidewalks will continue to be installed near Waterbury Sports/funeral home, and at the Park Row West/Main Street intersection.

  • Driveway, sidewalk, and walkway cleanup continues.

  • New street lighting will continue to be installed.

Paving:  Expect one-way alternating traffic and delays.

Waterbury Roundabout

This is a separate project from Main Street involving the roundabout and the roadways connecting with it. Flaggers will be in place in the work zone. 

This week: Crews will be working Monday, Nov. 9, through Friday, Nov. 13, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Expect intermittent alternating one-way traffic patterns as work continues on final project items including sign installation and line striping touch-ups.
