Main St. Construction Update | June 18-June 25

OVERALL IMPACTS

  • Flaggers and pedestrian crossers will be present where construction is taking place. 

  • Construction activities will be taking place on the entire length of the project including side roads.

  • Elm Street will be CLOSED June 17-18 and 21. Also, NO PARKING on Elm Street during this time.

  • Weekends are construction free

 

Segment 1.  North Main Street between railroad bridge and Stowe Street

  • Work will continue to prep and install new concrete sidewalks and walkways.  Walkways and sidewalks will take a day or two to be able to walk on but areas that cross driveways can take up to 7 days before they can be driven on. 

  • Work continues on installing an informational kiosk at the Bidwell Lane-Stowe Street intersection. 

  • Drainage structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in July.

Segment 2.  South Main Street between Stowe Street and Park Street

  • Elm Street will be CLOSED June 17-18 and 21. Also no parking on Elm Street during this time as pavement is removed, the surface graded, and a base course of asphalt put down by Friday. Paving the top layer should take place on Monday, June 21, if conditions allow.   

  • Work will continue to prep and install new concrete sidewalks and stamped concrete. 

  • Drainage structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in July.

  • Kiosk work continues near the former TD Bank parking lot. 

Segments 3 and 4 from Park Row to the end of the project  

  • Information kiosk installation continues at the corner of Demeritt Place and South Main Street.

  • Drainage structures in the roadway are being raised to prepare for paving in July.
