A Waterbury man has been cited to appear in court later this month on charges in connection with a home invasion and burglary in Berlin last summer, according to the Berlin Police Department.

The investigation into a July 17 incident found that Gregory Haskins, 50, of Waterbury, orchestrated the events, police said in a Feb. 7 news release.

Police say they responded to a home on Stewart Road in Berlin where they were told three individuals entered the home, assaulted the homeowner, and stole a large number of antiques and jewelry items.

The police news release states that the investigation found Haskins to be behind the incident and that he was involved in the transportation and sale of the stolen property.

Vermont State Police cited Haskins to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Barre on Feb. 29 to answer to the charges of possession of stolen property, conspiracy, accessory aiding commission of a felony, accessory before & after the fact.
