Sidewalk work on Main Street has temporarily closed the main entrance at Dac Rowe Park to vehicle traffic. Project officials say fresh concrete poured this week for the new sidewalk across the entrance to the park needs to harden for several days.

The entrance should reopen to vehicle traffic by next week. In the meantime, project spokeswoman Barb Farr said park goers should use the rear entrance to the park on Winooski Street. Pedestrians may use the Main Street entrance and walk over the new sidewalk, Farr said, and vehicles can park on Main Street near the new walkway. The Winooski Street park access will be open for entering and exiting traffic.
