State police seek public’s help in weekend theft

Vermont State Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a suspect in a theft at a downtown Waterbury restaurant on Saturday afternoon.
According to a news release, the incident happened at 3 South Main St., the address for McGillicuddy’s Irish Pub.
Police said they received the report at 3:40 p.m. and the investigation so far has determined that at approximately 2 p.m., a suspect seen on video surveillance footage took a bag that belonged to an employee. The bag contained a wallet and other personal items, police said.
