The Vermont Secretary of State will mail election ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election to all active, registered voters starting in late September.
Waterbury Town Clerk Karen Petrovic reminds voters that the Secretary of State’s office will collect address data for the ballot mailing on or around Sept. 2 next week.

Voters should confirm their mailing address by checking the My Voter Page spot on the Secretary of State’s website (mvp.vermont.gov) as soon as possible to ensure that their correct address is listed. Voters can make revisions if they have recently moved or if they intend to be elsewhere when ballots are mailed.

Petrovic noted that the U.S. Postal Service cannot forward election ballots.

Once voters receive their ballots, they may mail them back to their town office, drop them off in person at the town office or in the secure drop box outside the municipal building entrance; voters also may drop them off at the polls on Election Day before 7 p.m.

Anyone who does not use the ballot mailed to them for any reason may vote in person on Election Day. Petrovic said those voters would need to sign an Affidavit of No Ballot Cast to attest to not having voted yet.

Anyone with questions about their voter registration information may contact their town or city clerk as well as using the My Voter Page website.
